CUSAT CAT Application 2025: The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has commenced the online application process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025. The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) conducts the Common Admission Test (CAT) annually for admission into various UG Courses, such as Engineering, Environmental Studies, Humanities, Law, Marine Sciences, Medical Sciences and technology, and Science, Social Sciences, and Technology.

CUSAT has invited applications for the Common Admission Test this year, 2025. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply through the official website. The CAT Application window will be opened from the 17th of January, 2025 to the 16th of February 2025. The Application fee for the CAT examination is Rs 1200( Except INR 600 for Kerala SC/ST).

Who is Eligible to apply for CAT 2025 (Eligibility Criteria) ?

Before filling out the application form, candidates must ensure to have met the eligibility criteria mentioned by the officials. As per the prospectus of CAT 2025, the eligibility criteria for different UG courses include:

  1. Candidates must have Passed 10 + 2 with 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for all courses
  2. Scored 50% in the Mathematics subject in 10 + 2 for Polymer Science & Engineering & Naval Architecture & Ship Building
  3. Scored 55% in Mathematics in 10 +2 for Instrumentation & Technology
  4. Qualified CET (Common Entrance Test) conducted by Indian Maritime University (IMU) for Marine Engineering

CUSAT CAT 2025 Exam Pattern

The CAT exam consists of 225 questions: 75 from Physics, 60 from Chemistry, and 90 from Mathematics. Candidates will be allotted 3 hours to complete the question paper. For each correct answer, students will receive 3 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

CAT 2025 Syllabus

Physics: Topics such as Kinematics, Laws of Motions, Gravitation, Electrostatics, Atoms and Nuclei, Electronic Devices, Oscillations and Waves, Properties of Solids and Liquids, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, etc.

Mathematics: Topics such as Sets, Relations and Functions, Matrices and Determinants, Sequences and Series, Trigonometry, Mathematical Reasoning, Permutations and Combinations, Mathematical Induction, Vector Algebra, etc.
