NMMS Scholarship Exam 2025-26

National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) is a Central Government sponsored Scholarship for the school students who is studying in 8th standard. NMMS Scholarship is aimed to provide a financial assistance to the students belonging to economically weaker section.

The Directorate of Education (DOE), Delhi will be organizing the National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) every year for students of class 8th studying at any Government or Aided schools. Most of the states conducting NMMS examination regularly to select the eligible students for the NMMS scholarship.

The students who are selected for NMMS scholarship will be getting an amount of Rs 12000 per year upto their 12th class of study.

NMMS Scholarship Exam Eligibility

The student whose parental anual income should not be more than Rs:350000.
The student should be studying as a regular student in class 8th under government or aided school.
The student must have a score of 55% of marks in class 7th final exam (50% of marks for SC/ST).

NMMS Scholarship Exam Syllabus

The NMMS examination will have two parts with 90 minutes of duration on each exam. The part one is a Mental Aptitude Test (MAT) and the part two is Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).

MAT:

* Total 90 questions
* Each question carry one mark
* The questions will be based on mental ability testing.

SAT:

* Total 90 questions
* Each question carry one mark
* Questions based on 7th and 8th class
* Social science (35 marks)
* Basic science (35 marks)
* Mathematics (20 marks)

NMMSE Exam Application – Dates – Syllabus

Student can apply to the scholarship examination through the respective schools. The dates of application and dates of examination will be announced by each states.

How to apply for NMMS Scholarship exam

NMMS Scholarship exam is a state wise examination conducted by the State government body. The state government will release a notification for NMMS Exam and they conduct the scholarship exam. The candidates can follow the state’s official website to get the notification details and apply to the NMMSE examination details. Students can submit the application to their school officials.
