Employees Provident Fund ( EPF) balance is now available at the mobiles by SMS or missed calls. Mobile application for checking the passbook in detail is also ready to serve EPF members. Last year EPF had introduced Universal Account Number (UAN) to the active members. It is as part of EPF’s continuation of renovation process that the new technologies are launched. Those who have attached their respective mobile numbers while activating Universal Account Number with the Employees Provident Fund Portal only can enjoy the newly introduced facility.
Check EPF Balance by SMS / Missed Call
To know the balance by missed call dial at 01122901406. Replay will reach you by SMS. Not only the last balance, but the name of the member, Date of Birth, EPF Account Number and the number of Know Your Customer (KYC) document are also available in the SMS.
Type EPFOHO space UAN space ENG and send SMS to 7738299899 to get the balance through SMS. The details are available at 10 languages. For Malayalam use MAL instead of ENG. The account informations are available at registered mobile numbers only.
Besides these missed call and SMS facilities, EPFO Mobile App is also introduced. The mobile App is primarily designed as a means to activate Universal Account Number. Once the UAN is activated one can have a detailed look at his/her account passbook in thier mobile hand set. The App is available in Android Mobiles only.
